+Good characters
+Once again neat world-building and expansion of the world
+A heartbreaking ending
+One of the best characters is a sentient boat
-The "Master" is one of the most boring villains in YA fantasy I've ever come across. I just could not be bothered to care about anything he did.
-Despite how objectively good this book (and by extension trilogy) is, I just cannot truly get into it and I don't know why. Maybe it's the author's writing voice. I just don't connect with this story personally in any of the three installments.
