Don't Hex and Drive by Juliette Cross
4.0
My autumn reading plans have to be revised because all I want to read now is witchy romance featuring the sisters of the Savoie family. Don’t Hex and Drive is actually the second book in this Stay a Spell romance series, but the library didn’t have a copy available of Wolf Gone Wild, so I decided to jump right into this one. Usually romance series are structured so that you can read them in any order, as each book focuses on a different couple. And so it is with Juliette Cross’ Stay a Spell.
Don’t Hex and Drive is a romance where a powerful vampire Devraj is immediately obsessed with the plant-loving, dog-obsessed, low maintenance witch Isadora, but they start off at the wrong foot when Devraj hits Isadore with his car. Their chemistry is excellent and I loved how Devraj is in some ways an unconventional male lead. In addition to their relationship the book explores a mystery where local girls keep disappearing. This is the reason Devraj comes to the town, but the reason he stays is something entirely different.
