“Joey Lynch and Aoife Molloy: both full of flaws and humanly imperfect and yet so undeniably perfect for each other.” 👑

Unlike Saving 6, this book had me interested from the beginning. I loved basically everything about Joey & Aoife’s story, except that this book was TOO damn long.  There were just so many redundant details that didn’t really move the plot along or add much depth to the characters. I also really wish the author wasn’t hell-bent on telling us the same events from the POV of every character in this series. Obviously Joey & Aoife had a different journey than Shannon and Johnny, but I’m really more interested in events after book 2 than reliving the same story over and over again.  I hope the same isn’t true with Gibs’ story, but we shall see.

Now…can we take a moment to recognize Edel and John Kavanagh? I trust them so much I’d let them babysit my sourdough starter — and that’s basically my child. They continue to be the shining stars in this otherwise devastating story.
