Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson

5.0

This was absolutely whimsical and wonderful. Tress’ adventure across the sea isn’t like any other works from Sanderson, it almost reads like a Studio Ghibli film

Even though it’s a light hearted fanta-sea story, there’s still some serious moments that keep it from feeling too fluffy and, of course, the world building with the spores is down to a tea

This can be enjoyed as a stand-alone but it is filled with Easter eggs from the across the Cosmere and it was fun to keep and eye out for them

My only downfall of this book is that majority of it set on a ship, which is absolutely fine, but I was definitely craving more environments due to having read most of Sandersons other works
