I gave it 60 pages and gave up. The characters and the world seemed completely lifeless. I get that it's some kind of meta level parody about storytelling and fairytales, but man, why so uninteresting? It felt like all the author's thought went into meta level, and none went into caring about things he was actually writing about. He certainly did nothing to make me care about them.
