Coaching Prince Charming by Hayden Hall
5.0
Loved it. This whole series has been brilliant and it has finished on a high. Nate is nearing forty, his whole hockey career included hiding in the closet, not being able to have an open, steady relationship. No wonder he is wound so tight, and then to have his hockey career ended by injury; he is more then down on his luck. He takes the coaching job for the Titans, his nephew plays for them and so does Carter, his old friend's son. Carter is young, but wise for his years. He has a deep soul that he expressses through his piano and guitar music. His dad has big hockey plans for him. The feelings between Nate and Carter are obvious early on, but Nate is trying so hard to put everyone else first. In the end his brain catches up with his heart and they can't resist each other. This is steamy and swoony and angsty all in one. Hayden is so good at getting the feelings across and in the end we have a full on declaration and it's perfect. The epilogue gives us closure and a glimpse of their happy ever after. I'm going to miss these guys. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
