Lemony Snicket channels Encyclopedia Brown. Didn't actually finish it. Missed the snappy humor of the Series of Unfortunate Events. There's something about these books being written in first person that I just can't quite relate to the characters. I mean, the main character is "Lemony Snicket" but he's a young boy character with an adult mind and... I want to like it? but not so much. Did enjoy the very subtle references like Doctor Sobol (homage to Donald J. Sobol) and a grocery store owned by Polly Partial named Partial Foods...
