Everything is still in a state of complete upheaval on the Continent. Basgiath, Navarre, Aretia, and the fliers are at odds on who is right and who is treasonous. The only thing they can agree on is that the vennin must be stopped, but the methods are far from agreed upon. 

Violet and Xaden have their work cut out for them in terms of actually being together, but that's nothing new. General Aetos is as determined as ever to make their lives hard though. Of course. Their squad is as strong as ever despite additions and injuries. Plans to search the Isles for the elusive seventh breed will consume our main characters' time and efforts in this book, and they're in for a host of new surprises along the way. 

So much sass from riders and dragons alike. Tairn and Andarna continue to be my favorite creatures, and Violet and Xaden have changed and grown so much both as individuals and as a team. So many jaw dropping moments, laughter, tears, and pure shock. The freaking ending though...I need...the next book...ASAP!
