One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez

2.0

This was a great book to study in class, and overall I would say that I am more of a fan of magical realism than not, but this isn't a book that I'd recommend to most people who read for fun. It's deeply influential and all but the founder of an entirely new mode of storytelling, but I would suggest most people read other magical realist texts that took even heavy inspiration from OHYoS instead of reading OHYoS itself. If you find that you love other magical realism books, then you should go ahead and read this one.
