The Truth about Forever by Sarah Dessen
5.0
“There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment."
The first time I read The Truth About Forever was about four years ago and it still is one of my favorite books I've ever read. I love almost everything about it. I love Macy, Wes, Kristy, the whole Wish family. Of course, I can't stand Macy's library co-workers. While Jason is a good guy, he is clueless when it comes to relationships, while Macy's mom is clueless about reading her daughters feelings.
This is about Macy trying to be perfect after her fathers sudden death because she blames herself for not being there and she wants to constantly be in control. Fortunately for her, Wish comes along and flips her world upside down.
Wes and his younger brother, Bert, are also dealing with a death of a parent. Macy and Wes constantly play Truth whenever they are together and he is the only one who knows some of her darkest secrets. Macy finally wins the game when she kisses Wes and my heart melts everytime during that scene.
I love love love love love this book.
