Just a Bit Heartless by Alessandra Hazard
5.0
“The direction of his own thoughts annoyed and embarrassed him, but there was nothing Jordan could do about it. Nor could he do anything about the ridiculously inappropriate, possessive feeling that stirred in his stomach every time he looked at Damiano. This is my man, it whispered with vicious satisfaction. Look how knowledgeable, powerful, and attractive he is.”
I’m bumping this up a star on my second read because the tropes in this one just work for me.
Damiano and Jordan are officially my favorite couple from the straight guys universe. I loved their povs and how rational they tried being when they could feel themselves becoming obsessed with the other. And idk, you could just feel they have a soulmates vibe going on. Like, ik it’s a romance book, and that’s like the whole point, but it was as if the universe pushed them together in the best way it knew how so that they could become vulnerable with one another and realize that this was their person. Whatever im feeling sappy and I just really loved them as a couple
