This is my favorite book in the trilogy! I loved the magic competition and thought the combat and action sequences were very well-done. Of course, I have to mention the luscious writing style. V.E. Schwab is absolutely a new favorite author of mine. There is an intricate and developed magic system. And the characters (Lila and Rhy, especially) are the best!
