Their Fractured Light by Amie Kaufman

3.0

The weakest book in the series, but not terrible. All the running at the beginning got very old very fast. I'm not a big fan of con artists so the fact that the heroine is one didn't help.

This is the least original of the three books as well. It felt pretty derivative; several times I thought, didn't I read that line in Harry Potter? One of the big Moments for the hero and heroine as they fall in love is when she teaches him to dance - *eyeroll* - one of the most overused flirty moments known to novels.

I think the book would have been better if the authors had let their previous characters from the first two books narrate some of the chapters. It was awkward reading about Tarver, Lilac, Jubilee, and Flynn only from the point of view of Gideon and Sofia.

Still, it was a fitting end to the series, and I'd definitely recommend the series to teens looking for fantasy romance.
