Real Vampires Do It in the Dark by Amy Fecteau

what a freaking rollercoaster!

this second book went in directions i didn’t expect. i mean nothing went well. matheu is definitely having the worst experience as mc vampire i’ve ever read.

we needed more quin and matheu. for the tragedy of being apart to hit home we needed more of the relationship development. don’t get me wrong i like them together i just needed more. especially since we really don’t know much about quin. we never saw him be a full badass old vampire that much. it’s just lore at this point.

alistair is such a great character that i wanted him to be the one. i can see why they don’t work but quin is so vague it was refreshing to have someone actually say what they think.

the whole cast of characters have been a fun and funny addition! even when we left the quin and matheu of it all it was fun. seeing matheu get a found family has been great.

all in all i enjoyed it despite the need for editing and problematic language of the twenty tens.
