Perks of Office by Liz Rain

5.0

4.5 stars. Perks of Office is very funny and low angst workplace quite steamy age gap romance. The humour work especially well as audiobook. The main character has dry sense of humour and side characters are excellent. Imagine Aubrey Plaza in Parks and Recs for Emma's colleague.

The love interest is closeted politician. An okay character, a bit hard to like at first. Strict rules but open communication. The reunion made my heart tremble. I liked that there were no rushed love declarations.

I contemplated between 4 and 4.5 stars. The fact that this is a debut novel made me appreciate it more. Secondary POV would have been interesting but not necessary in this book's case.
