Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson
5.0
Yet another 5 star story from Holly Jackson! I was so excited to read GGBB after becoming so invested in AGGGTM - and it seriously did not disappoint!
GGBB yet again follows Pip in what is the aftermath of AGGGTM; Pip is finished with playing the detective and wants out of the role once significant charges are given and justice has been delivered. But when a local goes missing, she finds herself heading back down a rabbit hole of unforeseen secrets, lies, and danger. With her ever supportive friends in tow - Pip must now again attempt to solve a case that the police can’t (or won’t) themselves - but this time the world is listening!
I mean... what?! Come on!! I seriously cannot get over this book, it was beyond wicked! First, it’s in touch with reality - that sounds hard to believe when you’re talking about a 17 year old girl solving crimes etc. But in terms of current affairs and events, it just feels so relevant even with the storyline, I love that! Yet again Pip’s personality reminds me of a younger carefree and innocent Mel - before the chronic fatigue stepped in and put me out of commission. There is literally nothing bad I can tell you about this book. I urge book lovers OF ALL AGES to give it a go - don’t let the YA fiction genre tag put you off!!
