Perimenopause Power: Navigating Your Hormones on the Journey to Menopause by Maisie Hill

3.0

Another new library book that I was lucky enough to get my hot little hands on first! It was an engaging, conversational read about an issue that is becoming more prevalent in social circles, and one that is important to talk about. While parts of it didn't apply to me currently, the book gave a good outline of the process and what to expect. It was a good reminder of all that stuff you're told when you first start mensuration but forget over the years, so it was a good refresher course. The parts that did apply to me were well written and not scary or preachy, and made me feel like I wasn't alone, or going crazy. It was a great affirmation that things were doing what they were meant to be doing! I did enjoy it, as much as one "enjoys" a non-fiction book about perimenopause, but I would recommend it, and would read it again when I need a reminder.
