Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo
4.0
With a poetic candor, moving between two perspectives with different lives intertwined by the same father, “Clap When You Land” is a thoughtful exploration of family, culture, and connection. Our narrators are reflective, bearing their own dreams and traumas, and the story weaves well with an exploration of grief and growth. Perhaps the ending and character development might not feel as fully fleshed as expected, but it is still an interesting read.
