If you have been following my blog for a while you will know I LOVE Detective Dan. Don't worry if you haven't read the rest of the series though you can read these books as standalones.

This book has a dual POV of both Dan and Maggie. I love seeing multiple POV, I feel it provides a deeper insight into the story. This is definitely the case in this book. Seeing both POV made the story more tense and kept me on the edge of my seat. As always Detective Dan works hard to unravel this case and balance his home life. Dan and his partner Lucy are excellent characters.

Anna-Lou really had me stumped on this one. I thought I had it all figured out but the more I discovered the more I thought I was wrong. This story turns out to be quite heart breaking in the end. Anna-Lou really got me in the core with this one. This twisty thriller is an excellent addition to the series and I really hope we see more.
