The Speed of Falling Objects by Nancy Richardson Fischer
5.0
Really engaging, action packed, coming of age novel about surviving in the Amazon rainforest after a plane crash. This story had really enjoyable characters and also a few really unlikeable characters that created interesting dynamics and conflict. I loved the unstable and rocky relationship she had with her father and the revelations she made about herself and her life through it. I appreciated the acceptance the main character made with it regardless of his character flaws and his own internal struggles. The little romance was cute too and not too over powering to the story.... although I do wish I would have felt a little more strongly about it... for some reason their connection didn’t hit me like some romances do.
