The Grownup by Gillian Flynn
1.0
It’s pretty rare that I give a book just one star. But this book (more like a short story, only 60 ish pages) was just bonkers, and not in a good way.
There were multiple plot twists, but they didn’t work because of how short the book was. You can’t have a plot twist and them have another 10 pages later, it doesn’t give the reader time to even process the first twist.
Also, it’s categorized as a ghost story, but that kind of feels like click bait now that I’ve read it.
Gillian Flynn has some messed up stories, but I love them. Sharp Objects is one of my favorite books ever. So I’m so confused where this story came from.
