Toño & Tabitha: Their Story Could Have Been Much Better

This is the second installment in the Aztec Brides series focuses on the second Aztec God, Xipe Totec. Going by his human name, Antonio (Toño for short) he encounters Tabitha, part-witch/part siren who is trying to steal the ancient codices that she believes contains the key to freeing her friends, Winter and Max (Book One) who were banished to another realm.

The chemistry between the Toño and Tabitha was definitely present but the execution fell sort of flat. The characters could have been fleshed out a little more and we could have used a little more backstory on Tabitha.

This book contained very low spice. Just light petting and cuddling. When there was spice, it was for the most part very mild. The ending appeared very rushed. The plot was excellent and had so much potential but the execution of it could have been much better.

Happy reading!
