I liked it. I was a little confused because I saw this get some criticism about a choice the author made but I did not find the reveal a surprise in the slightest, the story definitely nodded at it several times before the dramatic reveal happened and honestly I thought it was all exactly in tone with the rest of the book to the degree that I didn't realise it was the thing people were mad about lol.

I will admit some bias here as I am Welsh so any competently written story based on our myths and history is always a joy to find because they are few and far between and this author is clearly not only well versed in the topic but also respectful in tone and obviously cares about the subject at hand which is always a boon. 

My only complaint is that there was absolutely no need for the huntress and the trickster to be teenagers lol, the other one I'll allow but you cannot sell me on these characters depth of experience and life's work when they are 18 years old, you just can't.

But other than that I enjoyed it! I'll definitely pick up this author again I'm just going to hope for an adult fantasy at some point in the future
