DNFing at 25% after the...fifth time? women were referred to as "females."

This series is like, making a conscious joke about how bad and contrived and cheesy supernatural romances can be, right...? It's objectively VERY BAD. Like, I honestly do not understand all of the reviews saying it's well written. Does the series get better...? I literally laughed out loud when all of the dudes were introduced. Phury?! I truly cannot. The fact that what's-her-name sleeps with a stranger, and then asks his name, and he responds, "Wrath," and she doesn't absolutely BURST INTO LAUGHTER and then at the end of two minutes of laughter say, "No, but seriously, what's your name, for real?" was one of the seventeen places this book lost me in the 25% I made it through.

I think this is something I might have loved when I was in my early twenties, but as an early thirties gal, I just do not have time for this kind of alpha male, possessive, poorly written bullshit. I wish I could say I'm not trying to yuck anyone's yums, and if this is what you like, more power to you. It seems to be working out just fine for Ward, so more power to her, get your coin. Decidedly NOT for me, though.
