The Chanel Sisters by Judithe Little
Did not finish book.
3.0
This may have been a case of it's not you it's me. I loved the idea of reading about the Chanel sisters, which I knew very little about. Seeing the story through Antoinette's eyes seemed like it was going to be an interesting POV to learn the background of all the sisters and watch how the Chanel fashion house started. While there were many interesting pieces of their past from the orphanage to opening a hat shop in a boyfriend's apartment, I just couldn't quite connect to the characters. It actually moved at a pretty quick pace, which I appreciated, it was more action driven and we are given facts and events at an almost dizzying rate. This is why it was a "it's me" problem, because I wanted to get to know the characters more, get into their minds, and this was not the focus. All in all an interesting book, but one that may only vaguely stick in my mind.
