I'd had this on my "to read" list for a while. It had so many good reviews, but I was a little daunted by the 600+ pages. As I started reading, it was obvious this was a skilled author. The language and wording just flowed so smoothly. It was a little slow to start as the character and the world was introduced. As always, I'm so impressed with the imagination of some of these authors who create such unique settings and situations. I did get very involved in the story and connected with the characters. This was a book where I was highlighting passages a lot, little quotes and quips that impacted me. I really like it when that happens. I'll be continuing on with the saga ...
