The Loneliest Dragon at Christmas by Gigi Rivers
3.5
- witch + dragon shifter
- hurt x comfort
- age gap
- found family
Avery lives a solitary life as a dragon, spending his days with his nose stuck in a book and wishing for a family of his own. Avery's wish may be well within reach, as sparks fly between him and local baker, Jack.
While Jack is very much interested in pursuing Avery, he's concerned their differences will be too much to sustain a permanent relationship, as Avery is much more well off than Jack and his family--not that Avery cares.
Both Avery and Jack were absolute sweethearts, and my heart ached for them as both of them often felt inadequate. Avery 1000% deserved better than what he got from his 'father', and just wanted love, affection, and the family he was never allowed to have. Whereas Jack wanted to give him those things, but didn't feel like he was enough for Avery.
I really loved that Jack's family was so quick to accept and love on Avery, and that he finally got his wish. He truly deserved all the happiness in the world, and I loved his and Jack's story so much!
