I JUST got a library card!  Shocking, I know.  I chose my first library book to be The Silent Patient so I could prepare for The Maidens.  The Silent Patient is a psychological thriller about violence, obsession, and the dark side of passion.  I definitely couldn’t put this down!  It is such a page turner.  I love the psycho analysis aspect, written more like a case study.  I feel Theo’s stress as he tries to help Alicia and I feel bad for Alicia.  Why?  Because Michaelides’ writing is amazing and immersive and makes you feel all the things.  The book seems like the ending is headed in one direction, but then in the last few chapters, everything gets twisted and my mind was blown.  This book is SO GOOD.  And what the heck is up with the ending?!  I NEED MORE!  This book is shocking, twisted, and makes you think.  I highly recommend picking this up if you haven’t already!
