I was unfamiliar with Phoebe Morgan but read this as a serialisation via Pigeonhole. It is a fast-paced thriller, focussing on the disappearance of a schoolgirl and the aftermath of this.

It gave me a similar vibe to Broadchurch, small town secrets and lies, where everyone is hiding something and trying to keep up appearances.

It was well-written, and I could easily see this as a TV adaptation. I'll check out Morgan's previous book now too.
