I was nervous that this wouldn't stack up to Slay but--I just feel like Brittney Morris is so talented. She takes on these big, complex, nuanced ideas and characters and carries them through. She takes the time to breathe life into what's happening on the page. The juxtaposition of joy and loss in this book was amazing.
