Why you should read this book RIGHT NOW:
- tropes: marriage of convenience, drunk elopement, revenge on an ex… need I say more?
- it’s a hockey romance with bantery, fun teammates
- it feels like a holiday/hockey version of The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams (one of my fave books!)
- it’s very Christmassy (yes, I’m aware that’s not actually a word but I’m tired so it is today)
- it gives total Lover vibes
- it’s closed-door
- NO third act break-up/conflict!
- good communication between characters! (I’m so sick of reading unnecessary miscommunication I could cry)
- sweet character development
- finally, Sebastian Slater is the actual blueprint. I will take no arguments or disagreements. He is and that’s that.
- also, am I a hockey fan now? Go Cyclones!

This is 100% my new favorite holiday romance. 4.75 stars :)
