This book was riddled with errors in terms of quotation marks missing in dialogue, “text” being used as the past tense, and other common mistakes that pulled me from the story, but a quick edit would have caught them. I also think it was too much for a book this short to try and tackle both mystery and romance. The mystery was present but incredibly rushed. The romance was nonexistent unless you count hints that Chad and Holly had something in the past, but a simple phrase could have clarified that easily. It was a quick, easy read but not compelling enough to try more by the author unless they’re longer works that have gone through editing/proofreading.
