the great tandem read has COMMENCED (a month later oops 🫡) - and I loved every second of it!!
I can’t believe I seriously went through EOS and TOD like that - it was truly the best experience and allowed characters to overlap and blend storylines together! I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone starting this series!
onto EOS … 🤪🤪🤪
okay first, I’m addressing the major elephant in the room that this book is glacier slow until the last like 20% 😅 I seriously was dreading picking this one up at times because I really did not care about lorcan and elide traipsing through the forest for 100 chapters
HOWEVER, this is probably the most plot forward, war planning, battle heavy book we’ve gotten in this series to date!! and it makes me SO excited for KOA because I need to know how this thing ends 😩✌🏼
there is a LOT going on in this one, but all of my favorite characters are finally getting together and teaming up so 🥹🥹 give me a few chapters of manon, dorian, lysandra and I’m happy for days 🫶🏼
for me, it felt like when your favorite disney channel series had a team-up crossover episode 🥰🥰 like just good vibes only
except you know, this is a war. and everyone is DEPRESSING talking about how they think they’re going to die. can we seriously stop with the love proclamations right before battle pls?
finally, that cliffhanger. was that necessary? ABSOLUTELY NOT. I will never forgive YOU KNOW WHO 🦌 ever in this series bye 👋🏼 also, it felt like a cop out to just split apart the team again? idk I’m interested to see where this goes
trying to summarize a 700 page book in a single review with no spoilers is hard people. long live the thirteen 🐉
rating: 4 stars
