The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White

5.0

i really have no words to describe how much i thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this book. i didn’t mind that the first third of this book is somewhat slow, i thought it was perfectly paced, allowing the reader to really study and understand elizabeth, victor, and the people in her life before the action truly starts. the characters are all so well-written and addictive, i am absolutely obsessed with elizabeth and victor and henry, who we saw so little of yet i grew attached to him. the writing is exquisite and poignant yet light all at once. i’m so lucky i was able to buy this book, i feel i will reread it many times before this year’s over. this is truly a book you wish you can read for the first time over and over again.
