A Holly Jolly Diwali by Sonya Lalli

Love love love reading holiday books that aren't just Christmas. Love learning about cultures and all of that.

BUT

My eyes were rolling so hard and so much at the last 1/3 of the book I am surprised they're still in place. I can deal with the sudden met-cute/instant love jazz. It's wild and such but I can deal.

What I couldn't handle was Niki
Spoiler essentially attempted hetero-U-Hauling with Sam. The sudden change in her, while we love, I feel came out too fast to be realistic. And the literal minute Sam was like "wait a sec, let's think this through", Niki instantly thought they were over.

Come on. Instantly was ready to set the relationship to pasture.

Overall, a fun read but the ending felt a bit rushed.
