I kept going until they found the bad guy.
Too many "I'm not like the other girls" references.  Makes fun of girls that fit stereotypes. 
The background relationship is a bully romance which I personally can't stand.
Also handles trauma and sexual adult badly. 
Avoiding your abuser is a perfectly normal thing to do, not selfish
