OH MY GOD 😱🤯😳🫣😵
I have not felt this way about a mystery thriller since the silent patient. I finished this at 1am and had to CONTROL MY SHRIEKS!!!!
welcome to plot twist city my lil friend 🫡 I am still in a state of shock over this plot line 24 hours later as I’m writing this review omg what are words
in pure alice feeney fashion, a dual POV followed by a mysterious serial killer narrator made the mystery so intriguing and binge worthy. I seriously did not want to put this down for a single moment.
even when the killer was finally revealed towards the end, I knew it wasn’t truly the end. I absolutely grinned like a maniac at the last chapter, and then proceeded to SCREAM at the epilogue!!!!
this book blew all of my expectations. I suspected everyone, I suspected the writer, I even suspected myself at one point 🫢 (JK … maybe …)
I really am trying to keep this review as vague as possible because it’s truly the best to go in blind but seriously read this if you like: hot detectives, dual POVs, mysterious narrators, jaw-dropping last minute plot twists, books like the silent patient and a flicker in the dark 🤌🏼
or … even if you don’t like those things … STILL READ THIS.
beyond amazing 10/5 stars cannot recommend more why the heck did it take so long for me to read this
rating: 5 stars
wine pairing: bordeaux blend
