Wow, this was a true thriller. Four middle-aged Japanese women get mixed up in some nasty business and disaster ensues. It was EXTREMELY dark and bloody and full of intrigue. Thrillers are such a showpiece for the neuroses of middle-aged woman, aren't they? This was no exception. I don't normally read books like this and in fact it took me a few tries to get into it but once I was in, I could barely put it down. I can't remember the last time I turned pages as quickly as I did through the heart-pounding last 100 pages. What a twisted ride!
I hope to never read anything like this again. Positively chilling! But highly recommended if you're in to that kinda thing.
