Overview
A challenge to encourage readers to read and support independent publishers.
- This list is definitely somewhat skewed toward the UK for which I'm sorry to my friends overseas! I do have a second, more general challenge in the works that'll be more inclusive while still encouraging people to read indie!
- Every publisher on the list publishes books written or translated to English.
- I definitely haven't tried to list every indie publisher, just to put together a mixture of bigger and smaller, well established and brand new, as well as a mix of genres and age groups.
- That being said, if I've missed one of your absolute favourites or a blindingly obvious one, please do give me a nudge.
- I've set this as five years starting January 2021!
- They are listed in alphabetical order of publisher name (which is why you might occasionally see multiple prompts under the same number while I muster the enthusiasm to go through and change them all)
- Prompt descriptions are a work in progress. Some publishers made is so much easier to quickly copy and paste than others!
