Cross-Stitch Bookshelf Genre Tracker Challenge

Overview

A fun way to track your reading progress and keep you motivated throughout the year!

Make a simple cross-stitch of a bookshelf with book outlines (search "book tracker cross-stitch on Pinterest to see example, or click on the link to my profile and see the one I made: linked below, or get creative and make your own!), then create a genre color guide. When you finish a book, stitch the corresponding color for it's genre into one of the book outlines. (I'm choosing to start at the top shelf, working left to right until the shelf is filled, then moving onto the next and repeating the process)

The goal is to fill each of your outlines before the end of the year!
I encourage you to add more outlines then you think you will accomplish to add to the challenge! (Tip: make the bottom of your shelf in a way that allows you to add on more shelving if needed! (See mine as example: link below)).

At the end of the year when your piece is complete, finish it into a book mark and use for years to come! Continue yearly and start your own collection of handmade keepsakes!
(YouTube tutorials for finishings if needed).

I chose to add items on my shelf that I feel  represent myself to help personalize it and make it more fun for myself! But you can choose whatever you feel is best for yours! I ended up with 33 book outlines, let's see if I make it and/or if I'll need to add another shelf!

Please note*: My cross design has 33 book outlines across 5 shelves and the prompts reflect this. Bonus prompt for finishing your completed piece into a bookmark!

**This is my first time using story graph and hosting a challenge, thank you for joining and baring with me! 🥰
