As the series continues, each individual character gets to reveal their backstory, while also getting a moment to excel, usually tied to said backstory.

As the Astra travels further in space, we get to visit some pretty unique locations, and the cast as a whole begins to flesh out some.

The pacing and story line are pretty predictable, but I am enjoying it.

I don’t understand why you would write a fun little space adventure that is intellectually geared towards younger teens, then have the most bizarrely sexualised underage girl characters.

I just cannot stop reading. Astra Lost in Space (or "Kanata no Astra") is way too good. Humanity doesn't deserve this. For real.

So in this book, Kanata and the gank reach their second pitstop planet. Some more backstory has come to the surface and Yun Hua's story arc here is simply awesome. I always love how Shinohara Kenta dares to discuss heavy topics shamelessly but in a non-patronizing way. And his art has improved a long way compared to his earlier days making SKET DANCE.

Also: holy shit Hoshijima Kanata is hot. I'm totally under his mercy.
