~*~ ALC Review ~*~
From the moment I started this book I couldn’t put it down. Whenever I pick up Ella’s books I know they will keep me guessing and have me on the edge of my seat. This is a m/f/m romance following Peyton and twin brothers Gabe and Sam. I admired Peyton’s strength, she went through so much and never gave up trying to find her son. I loved the connection the three of them had and how they would all do anything to protect each other. So many times I was holding my breath and getting lost in this story.
The narration performed in duet by Stella Hunter, Jason Clarke and Connor Crais was excellent. All three narrators did an excellent job of bringing the main characters and side characters to life and pushed this story over the top for me. Their was a scene towards the end of the book where they brought their A game and tugged on the heartstrings. This book was highly entertaining with all star narration.

This was my first Ella Sheridan and the story did not disappoint! There was romance, steam, suspense, mystery, and a bit of paranormal all rolled into one. Jason Clarke and Connor Crais play off each other incredibly well as twins Gabe and Sam (respectively) who share a slightly psychic link. Jason and Connor easily transition between the multiple male characters in each of the scenes. My only complaint was in some chapters, Jason sounded significantly louder than Connor or vice-versa, which sometimes pulled me out of the story. Stella gave a fantastic performance as Peyton, complimenting both Jason and Connor's narrations and characters. You really felt her heartbreak as she searched for her son throughout the book. It's a M/F/M with a an HEA. Definitely a fantastic read!

Jason Clarke, Stella Hunter and Connor Crais were the perfect pick for this MFM story. From the start of the book I was constantly trying to guess what was next on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t stop listening and devoured it in days. The narrators were perfect and made the book even better! 10/10 recommend.

Let me start by saying I wish my middle school history teachers were as sexy as Mike! Wowzers! Even though this only the 2nd book I’ve read in the series, I was anticipating Mike’s story.
Mike doesn’t want to be in a relationship. He’s all about hit it and quit it. When Mike meets Morgan, I woman who feels the same as him about relationships, Mike thinks that he has hit the jackpot. After a drunken night, Mike and Morgan wake up hung over and married. Morgan’s ready to annul the marriage immediately. She’s shocked when Mike wants to give the marriage a chance.
Overall, I enjoyed this story a lot. I liked Morgan’s character. She’s a Vegas showgirl and she has a lot of spunk. She’s not afraid of her sexuality. Mike is such a likable guy. Even though he’s a commitment phobe, it doesn’t deter from his appeal. How can you not like a sexy, foul-mouthed middle school history teacher?
The characters have great chemistry and I found the romance and attraction believable. I would say that the only thing that annoyed me was Morgan projecting her own issues onto Mike. But like all romances, it wouldn’t be a romance novel if there wasn’t the inevitable “conflict” and making up.
Take Me as one of the best epilogues I’ve read in awhile. I’m a huge fan of epilogues…when done right. I really liked this one.

Uh...the first few of these I liked better...This one was okay I liked Mike...Morgan was..."eh" I don't know, she had her moments.
It started pretty hot, I think. We got to know Mike a little in the last book, and I liked him. He's a man-whore of course and doesn't want any real relationship. He meets Morgan--who I liked a lot in the beginning...she gave him a taste of his own medicine which is always nice. She had her own goals and priorities and knew what she wanted and wasn't some virginal push-over.
Morgan's a dancer--not a stripper, shame on you for thinking that! and she doesn't want anything to interfere with her career, especially not a man.
She and Mike have a drunken night together in Vegas and wake up hitched.
While I liked the characters (initially at least), basically they were walking around like

It's all, "I never wanted to get married and you never wanted to get married, so we should get this annulled. No, wait, we must have gotten married for a reason, let's try. Okay, but not really try because neither of us actually want to get married." I mean, their inner dialogue was making me dizzy. And Morgan and her marriage and kids speech...and then the way she acted after that...I was shaking my head.
I don't know...I guess for a short somewhat predictable story, it's okay...but considering how much I liked the first two, these last two were kind of a let-down. I would still read more from this author and if she continues with the series I will pick up the next one.

Finally Mike's story.
Mike, the big brother of Brianna and Kiersten is out on the bachelor party for his best friend Garrett. Unfortunately they take the table belonging to a feisty red-head called Morgan.
After flirting with each other once his buddies have gone, they end up having a rather heated quickie where upon she promptly asks his to leave, even before their hearts have stopped racing.
Still thinking of the woman from the night before, Mike goes to the opening of Brianna's newly refurbished hotel, only to find Morgan in the line up of the dancers. Again he makes a move on her and they end up getting very drunk together.
The next morning, both heads throbbing they wake up to the clinking of metal. In their drunkenness the night before, they have gotten married. However, both of them had claimed off marriage for life due to their own personal reasons. Not surprisingly they both take it a little badly but end up consummating the marriage when they fall into the heat of each other.
They spend the rest of the week getting to know each other, where upon they both come to startling revelations about themselves.
The epilogue is cute and ends far too fast and I would have loved a little more in the ending, but other wise I found this be be a very enjoyable book.

Take Me by Ella Sheridan is a m/f/m romance that follows the story of Gabe, his brother Sam and the woman they both love, Peyton, Not only was this book steamy and full of suspense - it also portrayed a very strong female lead who never gave up the fight.
I was blown away by the duet narration of this book. Stella - gives me all the badass, strong, take no crap, Peyton. Connor never disappoints - he was the perfect soft-hearted yet strong Sam, Both Stella, and Connor were perfect at displaying the emotions needed to pull you in. This book (not that I really needed the help) helped me realize just how phenomenal Jason Clarkes range is. Jason - the perfect growling broody Gabe was also cast as every other male voice in the book that was Sam. He was the hero, the villain, the entire police department, his dads (yes I said dads), and adorable Michah. The range that Jason acted in this book honestly blew me away.
Overall I really loved the story, the bond, the strength and the determination of all three of these characters, and everything they did to keep their family together.

Take Me
A Southern Nights Standalone
By: Ella Sheridan
Narrated by: Jason Clarke, Stella Hunter, Connor Crais
I don't even know where to start. This was a Saturday listen for me, and I could not put it down! As a romantic suspense, this story checks all the boxes. Peyton has moved to Claywater. Yes, she is looking to expand her business, but there is something much more personal there for her. But when she runs into her long lost love, Gabe Harrison, things take on a totally different path. And to learn he is a twin, is just a complete surprise. With these two in her corner, will she be able to get what she came for and more? Talk about exciting. Peyton's story is one I can't even imagine. My heart went out to her, and it's a nightmare. Gabe and Sam are amazing me. Focused on what they want, willing to do what it takes, they push through. I love the family dynamic, bringing in the dads and mom. Having characters I love to hate, making me cringe and literally want to crawl in the story and help! It's exciting, intriguing and beyond hot. I loved this book! While this is a standalone, I recommend this entire series. It's amazing!
Ella Sheridan carefully picked her story tellers for this one, or she was hearing their voices as she wrote! Perfect fits, Stella Hunter, Jason Clarke and Connor Crais bring this trio to life. In duet style, they seamlessly meld the characters together. Crais and Clarke's voices compliment each other and are a perfect match as brothers. Hunter always makes me happy, as she understands her characters and as Peyton she is phenomenal. This is a listen not to be missed.
