There's something so raw about this story that I can't help loving. Even the simplest, most insignificant things seem to matter within these covers.

Her dream with all the dogs running havoc and her father forgetting another year each time a dog ran, and how eventually he'd forget her as well. That's one of my favourite pieces of writing, not only in this book. It's such a simple image but so very impactful as well.
