Could be a fun salacious summer read but not as much my thing.

This book deserves a pretty low score from an objective point of view, but I have to say I took some pleasure in reading about miserable rich people on fire island.

I will say, though, that I was frustrated by how long it took to reveal the dead person’s identity and the last couple chapters dragged on. It felt like the book had a very uneven structure. Also, I felt like the inclusion of Micah was kind of ridiculous, even though he was the only character even a little bit likable, because he served nothing to the plot. The “mystery” was not at all what the book presented itself as.

Can't decide if gossip girl would be disappointed or excited.

3.5 Rich people behaving badly....

DNF @ 39%

Finally had to put it down and say "I honestly do not care." We're not even halfway in and we're already introduced to like the 15th POV. It's very hard to be engaged with a story where every chapter is a new POV.

Not to mention the repetition of the story. If there were three characters in one scene, you'll hear that same scene 3 times with not a whole lot of differing perspectives. Just the same scene repeated 3 times.

Not worth the read.
