This book didn't hit the mark for me. The premise was unique but the setup wasn't well done. I didn't particularly like the hero either. I understand his background but still. I think the main reason that the book didn't work for me is that the pacing was slow after the first 20 pages or so. I thought that the opening was going to lead to a great story.
