I really didn’t like this. I understand it’s a novella so things will move faster, but I felt like it was too fast and there were important parts of plot missing
I also didn’t like how Nick spoke. He’s 12, not 16! He should not be saying “fucker” around his Mum and not getting in big trouble!

This novella is a lot of fun, what I love about Cala Riley and her writing is the banter between her characters, she puts so much sass into her words and it gives them so much life on the page!
Garret is swoon worthy on all fronts, he’s sexy, good at his game, and a family man/mamas boy at heart. He’s the perfect guy in every way and is the kind of man you wish you had in your life!
Reagan is a tough cookie and knows her stuff in her job, she’s also a mom by choice, she takes what she wants and finds love along the way with Garret
Personal Foul is super short but very fun and has some really good quirks that make it a standout read in my opinion, it’s a five star novella and a good time for what it delivers!

Personal Foul by the writing duo Cala Riley is a novella that is a part of the With Me In Seattle universe created by Kristen Proby. If you haven't read that series this is a small taste of that amazingness. The Quick Snap novellas are set in the realm of football.
This novella follows Garrett, who has been traded to a new football team and Reagan, a female football scout trying to keep her family together and make a name for herself. These two have a history from their college days so their chemistry seems fast but in the grand scheme of things is actually a slow burn.
These are very quick reads but there is substance in the plotlines. Because of this couple's history I wish this were a full length novel. I feel like there was much that could have been explored. I would have enjoyed more background on their family history. For example, I would like to know about her aunt and uncle as well as his family that are from Spain but his last name is Stone. I loved his use of his multicultural heritage and would love to see that explored more.

Garrett and Reagans banter back and forth were funny and steamy at times, specially the janitor closet scene.
I highly recommend this novella.

Cala Riley’s Personal Foul is also set in Kristen Proby With Me In Seattle world. Garrett Stone has been traded to Seattle, and then he runs into Reagan Kelly the only girl to ever turn him down. One thing for Reagan Kelly’s perfectly laid plans are blown up, and she can’t fight her attraction to Garrett. This is another novella with a sweet love story, but a lot of steam. I really loved Reagan and Garett; they were so good together, and you could tell how much he really loved her. Another must read for me.
