This was a fine book to listen to - I enjoyed the narrator. The ending felt a little bit rushed, but there were a few things that really annoyed me:
1) 55 is not old and this book made it seem like it’s decrepit.
2) For someone with as good a track record as the main character, she made a lot of mistakes of the not following orders variety. The gumption was maybe to make us root for her, but it honestly just made me question how good of an agent is if she was surprised she was getting in trouble about things.

This book definitely played out like a typical crime drama show. That being said it was a great story and I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!

I enjoyed this for sure, but wished there was more clues along the way for who the murderer was. Just was a bunch of empty doors until the last chapter or so. I liked that each of the murders got their own descriptive chapter, in pov of the killer.

I listened to this book on Spotify and my rating was partially due to the narrator. It was very hard to listen to. Monotone. Slow. The story seemed to drag on and things happened that just didn't make sense.....a seasoned agent is taken off the case after 3 days because of her age and being in retirement for 1 year, only to be replaced by 3 newbs......with no real explanation.

Quick, easy read. Enjoyable, but nothing that made me feel like it was amazing. I did like Kate's character and how she was a headstrong woman.
