This is literally the worst book I’ve ever read. I listened to the audiobook which was terribly narrated. It’s just dumb boring lazy predictable horribly written etc etc etc. This made me firmly believe that men should not be allowed to write books about women.

As another reviewer wrote “formulaic and basic”. It’s so badly written. We get it, you’re “old” (but not even that old!). Everything felt way too easy and predictable. Won’t be continuing this series that’s for sure.

Sorry to say, I wish this had been a library read rather than a Nook purchase. I really found it to be formulaic and basic. It's an easy read and would be okay for a beach read or something quick but there's not much to sink my teeth into and I'm not really interested in reading any further books in the series.

This was a fun read, I really enjoyed it! I loved that the main character is an older woman. One thing I didn't expect was the POV of the killer. It was super creepy and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
I don't know much about Law Enforcement, and I'm not sure Blake Pierce does either lol. I am willing to look past that, but I'm sure any Law enforcement officer would cringe at some of the dialogue and actions of the FBI in this one. It felt a bit like a teenager writing about a police officer.
I was going to give it 4 stars just because it was good fun, but the reveal at the end was a bit predictable for me, I was hoping for something more unique.
Overall, I think this is a fun mystery book if you're willing to overlook what I'm sure isn't great representation of LEOs.

3.5 stars ! Listened to on audio, unfortunately I figured out who the killer was before she did, but it was a good book overall, I enjoyed it…think I might continue the Kate Wise series
