Synopsis: Born in the Marshalsea debtors prison to the renowned Father of the Marshalsea, Little Dorrit's dull grey life is transformed when circumstances upon circumstances change her family's fortune.

Review: A geniously crafted twisting book of morality that somehow birthed multiple tales all intertwined and consequential, exploring undying loyalty, despair, of fortunes won and lost, of incompetent governments, long held secrets, and gentle love. This was my favourite (and longest!) book of 2024 and is a beautiful classic. I loved the tenderness Little Dorrit shows her Father, the ever loyal Mr Pancks, Arthur Clennam's kindness, and the anxious fluffy Flora.

I definitely recommend reading this AFTER watching the 2008 BBC miniseries to help power through some of the Old English language. I was also great to visaulise the BBC characters as I was reading.

I found it boring and everything interesting was crammed into the last twenty pages
