I love the format of poetry and nonfiction being paired to learn! The back matter includes detailed maps and charts that would be great for nonfiction text feature discussions in the classroom. I am hoping to start using skill, will, and thrill (Fisher, Frey, & Law) and this book would be perfect given the back matter on how we can protect frogs.

This is a poetry book themed around endangered amphibian species. I really liked that with each poem the book also provided fun facts about the amphibian the poem was inspired by. I also liked the call to action in the last poem and the extra resources provided at the back of the book to learn more about endangered species, it would be a good book when talking about endangered species and climate change in general.

Another fantastic collection from Bulion. The poems about amphibians are fun, entertaining, and full of information. I love how she adds the additional information in the small print on each page. Great backmatter, as always.
